Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Prior to launching AlgoSec, Mr. Baron co-founded Actelis Networks Inc. in 1998 where he served as CEO until 2002. Actelis Networks develops solutions that deliver fiber quality links over copper pairs in the local loop. During his tenure Actelis Networks had three separate funding rounds raising $75 million from investors, including USVP, NEA, Walden, Carlyle, Salomon Smith Barney, France Telecom, Sumitomo, The Anschutz group, and Vertex. To date Actelis has over 120 employees. Before co-founding Actelis, Mr. Baron was vice president of sales and marketing at RIT Technologies, a high speed networking infrastructure company. At RIT, he built a distribution network in 55 countries and drove revenue growth from $3M to $21M leading to a successful IPO. Prior to RIT, Mr. Baron spent a decade with Comverse Technology (Nasdaq:CMVT), a world leader in network service and security platforms. Mr. Baron holds a B.S. in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Economics (Cum Laude) and an MBA in finance both from Bar Ilan University.
Avishai Wool
Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder
Prior to co-founding AlgoSec, Dr. Wool co-founded Lumeta Corporation in 2000 and was chief scientist until 2002. At Lumeta, Dr. Wool was responsible for transforming firewall analyzer technology he helped create while working at Bell Labs into a commercial product. Prior to Bell Labs spinning off the Lumeta Corporation, Dr. Wool was a member of Bell Lab's technical staff in the Secure Systems Research Department where he led a team of researchers who created the first research prototypes of the firewall analyzer. Dr. Wool is an associate editor of the ACM Transactions on Information and System Security. He has served on the program committee of the leading IEEE and ACM conferences on computer and network security. He has published more than 40 research papers and holds 10 US Patents with many more pending. He is an associate professor in the School of Electrical Engineering, Tel Aviv University. He holds a B.Sc. (Cum Laude) in Mathematics and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, and a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science.
Aimee Rhodes
Vice President of Marketing
Aimee Rhodes has over 15 years of experience in the field of marketing and communications. Prior to joining AlgoSec, Ms. Rhodes was vice president of corporate communications at remote access SSL VPN vendor Whale Communications, acquired by Microsoft. While at Whale, Ms. Rhodes was responsible for developing and executing the company's brand strategy and establishing leadership within the emerging remote access product category. Prior to Whale, Ms. Rhodes was vice president of media and editorial content at GenerationA, where she was responsible for launching an Internet-based news and information portal. Before joining GenerationA, she served as a foreign correspondent at the Reuters News Agency. Previously, she was director of Israel Radio's English News Service and also worked as an on air news presenter for Jerusalem Online, a globally broadcast current affairs program. She holds a MA in Journalism from Michigan State University and a BA in Political Science from Michigan State University.
Greg Brennan
Vice President of Operations, Americas
Greg Brennan is a seasoned sales executive with more than 20 years experience in sales and sales management, sixteen of those years in the Information Security industry. Prior to AlgoSec, Mr. Brennan spent seven years as the Director, Canadian Operations at leading security solutions company Internet Security Systems, Inc. (ISS), since acquired by IBM (NYSE: IBM). While there, Mr. Brennan was recognized for his sales acumen as he helped grow annual revenue from $50,000 to more than $13M. Before ISS, Mr. Brennan was Manager, Strategic Market Sales, North America at Network Systems Corp., maker of the first commercial encrypting router and first network-based intrusion detection solution. Previously, he also held senior sales positions at Everex Computers and Crowntek Business Centres Inc., now part of GE Capital Technology Services Inc. Mr. Brennan holds a BA in Philosophy and Political Science from The University of Western Ontario.
Bruno Weinberger
Vice President of EMEA
Bruno Weinberger has more than 10 years of experience in the high tech industry, holding various technical, sales and business development positions. Before joining AlgoSec, Mr. Weinberger consulted for venture-backed technology start-ups, helping them launch and drive business throughout Europe. Prior to this, he served as vice president of business development and sales, EMEA for network-security vendor Whale Communications, acquired by Microsoft. At Whale, he was instrumental in managing strategic corporate accounts in EMEA, developing relationships with Whale's strategic partners in EMEA, expanding the European sales team and developing new territories in Asia Pac. Mr. Weinberger joined Whale from Amdocs(NYSE: DOX), where he worked on developing a billing solution for telecom providers. He holds a BA in Computer Science from Tel Aviv Academic College.
