In case you have a problem during installation or use of AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer (AFA), to handle your inquiry efficiently and expeditiously, please send us the following log files as Email attachments to support@algosec.com.

If you would like to send us the files using secure Email, we recommend that you use a PGP-compliant program to encrypt the files. You can obtain the PGP key for AlgoSec Tech Support from: here.

AFA 4.0 or later

Please send the support archive containing all the logs: algosec-support.zip

From within the report, you can download the support archive from the
     "Explore Policy" > "Log File" page.
It is also available at 
   $HOME/algosec/firewalls/ <job-name>/algosec-support.zip
where <job-name> is the Job Name of the report, which consists of the user login name followed by a hyphen and an integer (e.g., afa-3).

The algosec-support.zip archive may be missing if the report has a status of FAILED or if you encounter problems during the installation or licensing stages.
In such cases, please follow the instructions for AFA 3.7 (below).

AFA 3.7 or older

  1. The AFA installation log: /var/log/fa-install.log
  2. The AFA application's history file located in  $HOME/.fa-history
  3. The report's main index file:   $HOME/algosec/firewalls/<job-name>/index.html
  4. The report's log file:  $HOME/algosec/firewalls/<job-name>/log.html
  5. The Web GUIs log file:  $HOME/public_html/algosec/.ht-fa-history

Note: The $HOME/.fa-history and HOME/public_html/algosec/.ht-fa-history files are hidden files since their names starts with ".". To see them listed enter
     ls -a $HOME/.fa-history
or
     ls -a $HOME/public_html/algosec/.ht-fa-history
