Prof. Wool has served on the program committee of the leading IEEE and ACM conferences on computer and network security. He has published more than 40 research papers and holds 10 US patents with many more pending.
He is also an associate professor in the School of Electrical Engineering at Tel Aviv University.
When he’s not busy evangelizing AlgoSec’s solutions, Avishai enjoys tinkering with all sorts of computer and network security technologies. Alongside some of his students, Avishai demonstrated that the pairing algorithm in Bluetooth 2.0 is totally broken (leading to the standardization of Bluetooth 2.1).
More recently, he demonstrated that the proposed Israeli RFID-based elections are vulnerable to all sorts of attacks.
And if you believe Google searches, he is also one of the most famous “Avishai’s” on the net.
