The MSSP (Managed Security Services Provider) Regional Sales Manager will be an individual contributor role selling all AlgoSec, Inc. Products and Services in an assigned territory. The individual must have strong “hunter” skills, as well as the ability to service and upsell existing customers. They will apply a broad knowledge of the AlgoSec products to develop large opportunities and close sales. This role will work with Systems Engineers to successfully develop and service all customers or prospects within their respective geographic territory.

  • Prospect and qualify new potential customers, within assigned territory
  • Identify and close deals with corporate customers through face-to-face meetings and through internet/phone selling
  • Work in partnership with Systems Engineers and corporate to educate the customer/prospect and demonstrate AlgoSec’s capabilities
  • Drive opportunities at the strategic and tactical level
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client decision-makers including maintaining a sales strategy based on customer’s requirements
  • Keep informed on new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers through successful participation in AlgoSec web-based training and other forms of knowledge transfer
  • Stay informed of customer business opportunities, current conditions, future prospects, and competitive issues. Regularly brief AlgoSec management on status, prospects, and current needs of top customers
  • Responsible for securing new business, add-on business, and Maintenance Renewal orders for all license sales, as well and Professional Services revenue
  • Display strong time management skills
  • Understand and manage all phases of the sales cycle
  • Accurately forecast all territory business utilizing
  • Work within the company culture and value system


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or related field
  • Proven track record of managing complex sales process – 5 to 10 years of successful enterprise software sales in complex situations. Top 10% of company results. Over quota performance across multiple situations.
  • Exceeded quota at least 3 years in a row at one company.
  • Proven ability to effectively sell to executive management and other key decision makers within a company
  • Knowledge of Network Security industry, MSSP Operations, IT Operations Management.
  • Prefer prior experience selling into MSSP’s or selling for MSSP’s.
  • Tactical sales skills – senior level tactical sales skills including sales call management, questioning, objection handling, communications, professionalism, etc.
  • Presentation skills – well developed presentation skills. Candidate must be able to effectively present to small and large groups.
  • Strategic/complex account sales skills – experience managing complex, high dollar value ($250K+) sales engagements. MEDDIC, Sandler Sales Institute, The Complex Sale, Solution Selling or Strategic Selling training preferred.
  • Solution selling – experience analyzing prospects’ critical business issues, positioning and financially justifying solutions. Enterprise application sales vs. transactional product-oriented sales. 
  • Prospecting/new business development – the RSM must have the territory contacts, skills, attitude and commitment to develop new business on their own. AlgoSec does have lead generation programs, but RSM’s need to be able to significantly contribute to pipeline development.
  • Goal orientation - strong personal income goals, good attitude, high energy, ambition and professional goals.
  • Experience in at least one small company and comfort working in an entrepreneurial environment.
