Reston, VA – AlgoSec, the leading provider of firewall operations and security risk management solutions, today announced that its two flagship solutions AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer® (AFA) and AlgoSec FireFlow®together received a five-star rating in SC Magazine’s Policy Management Group Test. In addition to achieving the highest possible rating on SC Magazine’s five-star scale, the combined AlgoSec solution was granted the test’s only SC Magazine Recommended designation.
SC Magazine’s Policy Management Group Test looked at seven products used to enforce network, security, software, hardware, and encryption configuration policies across the enterprise. Management, enforcement, auditing and reporting on various security and network systems configurations were among the core criteria requirements of each product, while documentation, ease of use, features and functionality, reporting, alerting and support were among the categories SC Magazine used to evaluate each product.
AlgoSec received high marks in all categories with its features, ease of use, performance, and support each notching individual five-star ratings. Noting the joint AlgoSec solution as a feature-rich, full-service offering, SC Magazine called out AlgoSec’s high level of functionality as the key driver for the solution’s Recommended designation.
Among the more notable features of the AlgoSec offering highlighted in the review were its broad level of integration with leading devices and its automatic network mapping based on unique topology- aware capabilities that are core to both AFA and FireFlow. It also received high marks for its intuitive and easy to navigate web-based system, as well as “impressive” risk and compliance capabilities that round out what SC Magazine calls a “great management and audit tool.”
